Welcome to the ChIR Symposium!
Building Capacity in Chemical Safety and Sustainability
Since 2015 the International Symposium on Chemical Innovation and Regulation brings together professionals, researchers and students from all over the world to discuss state of the art issues on chemical safety, sustainability and the regulations created to assure them.
The previous events in 2015 (Barcelona), 2016 (Bologna), 2017 (Algarve), 2018 (Barcelona) and 2019 (Algarve) have have counted with contributions from chemical companies in Italy, Spain, the UK and Portugal, as well as the contributions from the research topics pursued by ChIR students as part of the ChIR programme.
The ChIR Symposium is back in 2022, hosted by the University of Bologna. The ChIR now has a new structure and a fresh start in 2021/2022. Student research projects have not began yet, so there is more time to share a different type of insight: from the ChIR alumni who have graduated and pursued varied professional paths and experiences following their ChIR graduation. This year, we invite ChIR alumni to share their experience!
The Symposium will be organised, for the first time, in a hybrid way. You are welcome to join us in Bologna either in person or online. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required. Please make sure to register before the deadline of June 29!
