Jacopo Monaldi

Jacopo Monaldi is a Regulatory Officer at the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in Helsinki, specializing in Substance Identification (SID) under the REACH Regulation and ECHA's Integrated Regulatory Strategy. Since October 2022, he has coordinated the REACH Inquiry process, conducted scientific assessments, and contributed to the PetCo Working Group on substances derived from petroleum and coal. His role also involves analyzing the chemical compositions of complex substances (MOCS).
Jacopo is an alumnus of the ChIR program, having earned his Joint Master’s Degree in Chemical Innovation and Regulation from the University of Barcelona and from Alma Mater Studiorum Università di Bologna in 2019.

Serenella Sala

Serenella Sala is the Head of the Land resource and Supply Chain Assessments Unit of the Directorate D- Sustainable Resources at the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission. She is an environmental scientist with a PhD in Ecotoxicology and risk assessment, working as scientific coordinator of the life cycle assessment group of the JRC. Her research activities have been always focused on sustainability assessment of supply chains, adopting Life cycle assessment as reference methodology. Guillem Domènech

Guillem Domènech Gil is currently a Marie-Sklodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship at University of Barcelona.
His research focuses on the development of smart sensor systems and gas sensors based on nanomaterials to monitor toxic gases, greenhouse gases and volatile organic compounds.
He did two postdocs in Sweden from 2019 to 2023 and obtained his Ph.D. with Summa Cum Laude at University of Barcelona (2019).
He has co-authored 30+ papers and 50+ contributions to conferences.

Anna Białk-Bielińska

Anna Białk-Bielińska
Dr hab. Eng. Anna Białk-Bielińska, professor at the University of Gdansk has 17 years’ experience in the field of environmental risk assessment of the pharmaceuticals and their transformation products in terms of the development of new, selective and sensitive methods for their determination based on the LC-MS/MS technique in different environmental samples; evaluation of their mobility and stability in the environment as well as in the assessment of their ecotoxicity. She has participated in the realization of 9 projects (international and national projects). She has published 67 ISI papers with ~2800 citations (H-index of 32).
